Hollywood FYI

Billy Bennett, a Ray Guy/ProKicker.com alumni, was selected for an acting role in the movie We Are Marshall. Bennett plays the part of Blake Smith, a scruffy former soccer player (Bennett led Athens Academy to the state soccer crown in 1999) whom Marshall football coach Jack Lengyel (played by Matthew McConaughey) had recruited to be his kicker. Smith kicked a field goal in his team's 15-13 upset of Xavier in Marshall's first home game after the fatal 1970 plane crash which killed all the Thundering Herd's players and coaches but one, who didn't make the trip.
